I am a Bicolano by birth and choice. By any standards, I am a slow runner but I like it that way. I look at running as a healthy and exciting way to make a difference. Together with my fellow runners from our family, school, office, and the community, we use running to give back.

ALASKA WORLD MILK DAY RUN: Registered and Raring to Go

I am registered already for the 10Km race of the Alaska World Milk Day Run scheduled for June 9 at Bonifacio Global  City.

Got my race bib and singlet already a week ago.  You bet I will be one of the early birds.

BP I and BP II seemed to like it. They had a photo session with it. I had the singlet customized with the Bicolano Penguin logo.

My Alaska World Milk Day Run will not be a recovery run from the 32Km at RU2 as I originally envisioned it to be.  I did not get to run the RU2.  But I look at my run tomorrow (June 9) as a way to recover my running mojo. This is my first officially organized run since the Mayon 360 Ultra  in early April this year (http://www.bicolanopenguin.blogspot.com/2013/04/2013-mayon-360-ultra-running-on-empty.html).

In between Mayon and Alaska, I only had a sprinkling of runs. Most notable of which are the Bagolatao Adventure Run (http://www.bicolanopenguin.blogspot.com/2013/05/bagolatao-adventure-run-broke-back.html) and Boston Strong Muntinlupa (http://www.bicolanopenguin.blogspot.com/2013/04/boston-strong-muntinlupa-run-to-remember.html). The rest were  mostly solos and I suck at running solos.

Solo no more I hope.

Got milk.  Got mojo.
