The urban dictionary defines the
word “meme” (noun, \mēm\) as an idea, belief or belief system, or pattern of behavior that
spreads throughout a culture either vertically by cultural inheritance (as by
parents to children) or horizontally by cultural acquisition (as by peers,
information media, and entertainment media). I chanced upon a baker’s dozen of memes on running at the running competitor website (http://running.competitor.com/2014/02/photos/top-10-funny-memes-about-running_94524) and one piqued my fancy.
Kudos to all the ladies I have
passed in a race. They are few but they
sure are all lovely and graceful.
