I am a Bicolano by birth and choice. By any standards, I am a slow runner but I like it that way. I look at running as a healthy and exciting way to make a difference. Together with my fellow runners from our family, school, office, and the community, we use running to give back.

BANANA BOAT SHIRTS, FINISHER SHIRTS AND RUNNING GELS FOR THE BICOLANO PENGUIN ANNIVERSARY RUN

A couple more nights and it is already November  2, the D-Day of our first-ever Bicolano Penguin Anniversary Run.  The running paradise that  4 of my fellow 83neans,  5  more Bicol-based  buddies and myself  will journey to on this date is a 40-km stretch of the  picturesque Tiwi- Sangay Road in the border of the provinces of Camarines Sur and Albay.

Needless to say, we are excited and this excitement took a notch higher when I received the goodies that we will be giving out to the participants.

Package from Energizer

Banana Boat shirt

I received this afternoon an LBC  package addressed to my wife containing several bright yellow Banana Boat shirts. She requested some shirts from her officemates at Energizer Philippines and they continue to be generous with their kindness.  Special thanks to Claire Guevara, an officer in Energizer.

Got also a confirmation from fellow 83nean Ernie Badong that he is donating running gels for consumption in the conquest of the Tiwi- Sangay Road.

Running gels

My officemate, Alice Monfero, delivered  today the finisher shirts for the Bicolano Penguin Anniversary Run.

Thank you to our friends and loved ones for all the support.  The kindness will  pump up our running.

Yup , we are raring to go and  live up to the spirit of “Running is Free.”
