My nephew Stefan
and niece Mai Mai just got back from their week-long vacation in Japan and they
gave me a pasalubong I truly like and will use in my running adventures in this
tropical and humid country of ours.
They
gifted me with a royal blue the Under Armour® Men's HeatGear® Sonic
Compression Shortsleeve T-shirt.
The shirt features HeatGear® Sonic which is UA’s newest
baselayer innovation. It is bandied out
as wearing like a "second skin". The UA
website elaborates further on the technology the shirt packs:
- Smooth fabric provides extreme comfort and compression without restriction
mobility and maintains shape
·Signature Moisture
Transport System wicks
sweat away from the body
·Anti-Odor
technology prevents the growth
of odor causing microbes
·Smooth, chafe-free
flatlock seam
construction
·Engineered mesh
neck
·Polyester/Elastane.
This shirt is made of 84% polyester and 16% elastane for a comfortable and
stretchy fit.
A stretchy fit indeed and
the shirt feels and smells great. One
drawback though is that you need to have an Adonis-like body to do justice to
the elastane attributes of the UA compression shirts. But then again, to get in
great shape is one of the reasons why we take up running in the first place.
UA points to
innovation as the heart and soul of
their brand. Kudos to Under Armour® for all the innovation.

Thank you, Mai Mai and Stephan, for your thoughtfulness and generosity. Likewise to their parents, Divine and Alex.

Nice shirt. The material is soft to the skin. Very comfy.
Sorry WJ. No fuschia or electric pink yet. hahaha...
Thanks Jon for the positive feedback. The UA shirt would indeed be ideal for the heat in the local running scene.
