I am a Bicolano by birth and choice. By any standards, I am a slow runner but I like it that way. I look at running as a healthy and exciting way to make a difference. Together with my fellow runners from our family, school, office, and the community, we use running to give back.

2013 BATAAN DEATH MARCH 160K ULTRA: Ernie Endures One Step at a Time

One hundred sixty. 数百ろくじゅうい. Isang daan animnapu. Siento sisenta. NATGEO EARTH DAY RUN 2012: My Friend Bitoy’s First Half Marathon

Rather than be depressed with my not being able to join my fellow 83neans run at the 2012 Mayon 360 Ultra last April 21, I decided to take a run the following day.  Running has a way of making me feel good.  Must be the endorphins.

Our Bicol. Our Home. Our Run

As a proud running man of the  the Ateneo de Naga High School Class of 1983 (follow the exploits of these 40-something runners at http://83neanrunners.blogspot.com) , I subscribe to the precept “Our Bicol. Our Home. Our Run.”  It is an axiom that we follow in our choice of long distance running events to join.
