My photo
I am a Bicolano by birth and choice. By any standards, I am a slow runner but I like it that way. I look at running as a healthy and exciting way to make a difference. Together with my fellow runners from our family, school, office, and the community, we use running to give back.

ONCE IN A BLUE MOON KIND OF RUNNING WEEKEND

EmoticonThis 2014, February 22-23 in the Philippines is proving to be a weekend where it seems the destination  running stars  are aligned.

Or in the parlance of  lunar lovers, this  is a once in a blue moon kind of weekend.

Consider the fact that there are  6 long distance destination runs, a handful of which are in exotic places like the trails in Mayon and Tanay, sand dunes in Ilocos and passing thru historic Baroque churches in Iloilo.

February 22:

Laoag Marathon (42K)
1st Iloilo Ultra Marathon (55K)

February 23:

Cagsawa Trail Run 3  (21K)
Love A Tree Year 3 Trail (32K)
Laguna to Batangas Ultra (50K) Ultra
Sierra 51050  Ultra (50K)

A lot to choose from. Sadly, the Bicolano Penguin will not be able to partake of any of these delectable destination runs. The penguin is engaged  the whole weekend for a community activity in the parish.

This is making me feel blue indeed.Emoticon
