December 31, 2013, our
son Marcel celebrated his 15th birthday.
I had the honor and pleasure of
joining him on a 5-km run around the
village. This was at 6pm before we went
to the New Year’s Eve Mass at 8pm.
It was an enjoyable run for the both of us. He was wearing
the new Skechers shoes we gifted him for Christmas. The two of us engaged in some trash talking
along the way, he referring to me as "old man, old school" while I retorting
back at him as the "amateur."
At the end of the run, age clearly showed as he out-sprinted me by almost 50 meters. My Hoka did not save me this time. Hahahaha..........A consolation is that this is Day 10 of my running streak.

We are truly blessed to have a wonderful child. He is kind and understanding. He is smart as well. A bonus for me is the fact that he likes
running, too.
