Last Wednesday, November
28, I was blessed to have enjoyed a break. This was really welcome after weeks of stress, due to a smorgasbord of
meetings and presentations at work.
I was invited to
an event entitled "It’s Time to Bond" which was an appreciation night and
anniversary celebration of the Southbend
and Goldlink security companies.These
two companies are the security service providers for our company as well as
that of other Lopez Group companies.

The Venue |
Entering the
venue, which was the Rockwell Tent, I would have wished to have worn something more
dapper as the event was truly inspired by the Agent 007 persona. There were free flowing wine, good food and
silhouettes of sexy dancers in the shadows. Even the boss man of the security companies
dressed and moved like James Bond (Pierce Brosnan vintage).
The live
entertainment was music, dance and presentation inspired by all those Bond movies from the 1960s to this early part
of the 21st Century. And the talents were excellent: El Gamma Penumbra, Daddy’s Home and KZ
Tandingan. They are fairly new, all of
them recently discovered gems from X-Factor Philippines and Pilipinas Got
Talent. But the audience, including
myself, were impressed and very much enjoyed their elan and moxy on stage. They
are living proof that the pipeline of impressive Pinoy talent is decades long,
just like the pipeline of the James Bond movie franchise.
