I am a Bicolano by birth and choice. By any standards, I am a slow runner but I like it that way. I look at running as a healthy and exciting way to make a difference. Together with my fellow runners from our family, school, office, and the community, we use running to give back.

PINOY FITNESS RUN FOR CHANGE 2012

I have not been able to join races the past few weeks but I am happy to note that my fellow First Balfour runners have been at it these cool weekends of Christmas.

Last December 16, eight FB runners joined the Pinoy Fitness Run for Change 2012 at the Bonifacio Global City.

The Run for Change 2012 was dubbed a Green Race.  No littered plastic nor paper cups scattered along the routes. Only refilling water stations. Right from the start of registration period, runners were informed to bring their own hydration bottles. It can be done after all.  Kudos to the Pinoy Fitness community.

The First Balfour runners are Lily Santamaria, Icar Hombrebueno, Tato Dalawampu, Nikki Manlapaz, Reina Glorioso, Joy Castillo, Delsie Giray and Rose Dalawampu. All 8 joined the 10km event. It was the first 10K for Tato and Nikki.

I am very happy to hear about this.  Looks like there is a renaissance of running in First Balfour.

Time to level up for the First Balfour Running Club.
