At the same weekend that six
83neans were tackling the Lake Bato Ultra, our classmate Jun "Bitoy" Lorico was
gunning for his third full marathon.
This was the 2013 Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore. His first was
the 2012 SCMS (http://www.bicolanopenguin.blogspot.com/2012/12/scms-ang-pagmumulat-ni-bitoy.html)and his second was the Sundown Marathon last May 31. This time, with a bit more wisdom in his
running, our batch David conquered this big marathon with a better finishing
time.
At 6 hours and 20 mins, Bitoy was
able to shave off 15 minutes from his 2012 SCMS time. He ran with a purpose on
that 1st day of December in Singapore and it showed.
Impressive and inspiring. I need to have a sit down with my LG-4
classmate to find more about his ingredients for running success.
Congratulations, Bitoy, on your 3rd full marathon. An exciting lady by the
name of Ultra beckons this 2014.
Once you go long, your running
goes strong.

Thanks Vicboy. Sikat na naman si Bitoy.. hahahaha..
I'll try to meet and experience next year that exciting lady by the name of Ultra.. hehehe..
My simple recipe for a successful run are: 1 cup of PMA (positive mental attitude) + 1 tablespoon of discipline (no alcohol and no s_x 1 wk b4 d race).... hahahahaha
At this early, I'm preparing for an Ultra Challenge to be held on March 29-30 next year in SG. The Twilight Ultra Challenge grants the participant to run/walk for as long as you like up to a maximum of 16 hours. Once I reached 43km, hihinto na ako... then ultra runner na ako... hahaha..
No doubt you will be bag your first ultra. No substitute for long slow distance runs on a weekly basis.
Oragon! Congrats Bitoy! Love to run with you on your first ultra together with BP and the rest of the runnin8 m3n. Tugot and sexihon padi si Ultra hahaha Cheers!
