I am a Bicolano by birth and choice. By any standards, I am a slow runner but I like it that way. I look at running as a healthy and exciting way to make a difference. Together with my fellow runners from our family, school, office, and the community, we use running to give back.

DALAGAN NUBENTA2: March 8, 2014

EmoticonThe “men for others” of AdeNubenta are at it again.

I received a text from Mhentz Manaog (president of Ateneo de Naga University HS 1990) inviting us to the second edition of their fun run scheduled for March 8, 2014 in Naga City. For the second straight time , the fun run is for the benefit of the Fatima Center Orphanage.

Last December 2, 2012, the said batch held its Dalagan Nubenta (http://www.bicolanopenguin.blogspot.com/2012/11/dalagan-nubenta-december-2-2012.html). The money they raised was used for an outreach activity for the  Fatima Center. On December 15, 2012, the members of AdeNubenta  visited the orphanage in San Agustin, Iriga City and brought holiday cheers to the children many of whom are orphans and  abandoned.

The 2nd fun run of AdeNubenta was originally planned for the month of December 2013 but the batch decided to postpone in deference to the Typhoon Yolanda tragedy. But now, it is full steam ahead for this noteworthy endeavour.

Important details of Dalagan Nubenta2 are indicated in the poster below.  For inquiries, contact person is  Clemente “Mhentz”  Manaog (09217208901).

Congratulations to the officers and members of AdeNubenta for undertaking projects that help others, particularly the innocent and vulnerable ones. Your batch is an inspiring example.Emoticon
