ENERGIZER 7 LED HEADLIGHT: Let There Be Light

EmoticonMy kind and gracious  Commander-In-Chief (CIC) gifted me with a new product from their company: the Energizer 7 LED headlight (http://www.energizerbatteries.com.ph/Energizerv2/Products-Lighting-HandsFree.aspx).

Definitely, this is something useful   for ultra running what with the following first-rate features:

•5 Light modes – night vision, spot, flood, spot+ flood, strobe

•100 lumens

•5.5 hours runtime on brightest setting

•Pivoting headlight to point light where needed

•Water resistant

•Easy to operate electronic switch

•Removable/washable head strap which is now wider for more comfort

Actually, this is the 3rd time that I have received an Energizer headlight from my wife.  The 1st time was way back in 2010 for my maiden voyage in the full mary at the TBR Dream Marathon. The 2nd time was last year  when  I got to utilize it for the 2013 Mayon 360.  Happy to report that the  first 2 Energizer headlights did the job in providing light in the dark hours of the early morning starts.  Plus, the 2 have proven to be durable as both are still serviceable to this date.

My minor complaint though on the   earlier Energizer headlights was that the batteries were not easily accessible for replacement.  More often than not, when the batteries needed changing, I had to seek the help of the CIC who provided the female dexterity to accomplish such a feat. The Bicolano Penguin  lacks the patience for this sort of things. Not anymore with my 3rd Energizer headlight as it has a user-friendly easy-open battery compartment which makes changing batteries on the go easy.

Plus, what makes the new model better, of course, is that it has 7 LED lights as opposed to 3 in the older model(s). As a result, the Energizer & LED Headlight gives out more than  ample illumination. I got to first battle-test it not on the road while running but during the Friday Stations of the Cross in our village last week. While many of our neighbors used the standard electric light lamps with long extension cords for their respective stations on the street, our household improvised with the Energizer 7LED headlight. As the photo below would show, the 13th Station was none too  shabby in the radiance department.

Energizer 7 LED Headlight - a superb product built to last and easier to use.  A divine job from the positive energy company.Emoticon
