Blogger's Note:
For the Bull Runner Sun Life Dream Marathon 2020 , there were 13 First Balfour employees who registered. Of the total, 10 were able to actually start and finish the 42km running event at the Clark Parade Grounds in Pampanga. All 10 were requested by the Bicolano Penguin to answer 3 questions related to their first experience of a full marathon. Surprisingly, one of the first to respond is Abegail Consorte (Bib# 0282). Surprisingly because Abe is a very busy person at work as she is the president of the employees' labor union at First Balfour in addition to her regular job as a procurement specialist. But this is not the first time that the diminutive Bicolana from Tiwi, Albay has surprised the Bicolano Penguin. At our very first LSD run together during the Fat Ass Run 2020 in early January, she amazed with her stamina and efficient running form. Turns out, Abe is an afficionado of two sports that some may refer to as extreme. One is Dragon Boat racing. The other is Spartan race. No wonder then that Abe comfortably finished the Feb 16 race with a time of 6:26:47. Here are Abe's response to the 3 questions:
1. Why join the TBR Dream Marathon?
I joined the TBR Dream Marathon for me to experience at least one marathon in my whole life (insert YOLO) . I want to experience the difference between a Fun Run and a Marathon. I wanna release that MAMAW in me in LONG DISTANCE RUNNING. Be an inspiration to my children and to all the moms out there.
Isa po pala, dahil LIBRE. Masarap at masaya gawin ang mga bagay na libre. Thank you First Balfour for this experience.
2. What was the experience like in training and running your first full marathon?
Been doing other sports too and I go to know myself, my physical strength and weaknesses, how my mind thinks to surpass each challenge that I will be taken.

The training is good. You only have to follow the training schedules and the Dos and Don'ts that the mentors been sharing since day 1 of the training. I got to know the other athletes too. It's a beautiful journey for me. Cheers to all the pains and suffering! Without it I wouldn't be feeling that so called self fulfillment.
Now, I can proudly say that I am a MARATHONER.
3. Would your recommend the TBR Dream Marathon to your loved ones and friends?
Yes. All I can say is that SULIT ang training.
